Kerala is a state in the south-west of India. It is spread over 38,863 km2 with a population of 33,4 million people. Kerala has a density of 859 people per km2 and is one of the most densely populated areas of India. 750000 People live in the Capital Trivandrum. There are different persuasions like Christians, Muslims and Hindus living together peacefully. The rate of unemployment is high due to the unincisive industry. Farming is almost not existing and most of the people depend on fishery. There has been hardly any help after the tsunami and the local villagers are facing a lack of clean water. Malnutrition due to a poor diet is a great problem. "Positive Power for Children e.V." is planning to work on this problem also.
